Born in 1972 in England, Leighton Ellis has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Marketing. 

He now lives in Chamonix, France, where he runs a catered ski in, ski out chalet with his wife, Helen.

As a result of his interest in psychology and self-improvement, and specifically how to master life change, he trained in life coaching in 2003.  That led to learning various techniques for change, including studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and its techniques, as well as other technologies for change, such as Anthony Robbins’ “Neuro-associative Conditioning”.

That interest in how to exact lasting change combined with his interest in skiing has led to the development of the book, “Skiing without Fear – for beginners, intermediates, and experts” where it applies NLP and visualisation techniques with the specific aim of enabling people to overcome their fears of skiing, and use the techniques to reproduce their top skiing performance whenever they wish.

Over 25 NLP books were studied in depth to elicit the best techniques applicable to fear and skiing – including original texts by the ’creators’ of NLP, Bandler and Grinder.  The techniques contained in the book are specifically geared to learning to ski, overcoming fears whilst skiing, building your skiing confidence, and enabling you to ski at peak performance whenever you wish.
